Writing Battle
Writing Battle (@writingbattle) has invited me to participate as a Professional “Owl” Judge in the Tempest Owl Battle that started on Jan 13th! Participants can join the ranks up until Friday, Jan 16th, and all stories are due on Sunday, Jan 18th.
Tempest hashtagflash hashtagfiction short stories have 9 possible genres that participants have drawn from. There are certainly bound to be some gems found out on the Battleground this season! Participants must also incorporate character and object prompts into their submitted stories. A huge tournament is progressed in a series of duels in which stories will “Battle” each other until a winner in each of the nine genres is selected!
The total cash prize pools for all 2026 Battles amount to $150,000 USD! $26,000 USD is allocated to the Tempest prize pool and cash prizes will be awarded to Tempest’s top stories!
