What Write by the Sea® Offers Writers: An Interview with Founder Suzanne Lieurance

Today I’m chatting with Suzanne Lieurance, the CEO and founder of Write by the Sea®, a resource site for writers. Suzanne is also the author of over 40 published books, along with hundreds of articles, essays, and other content materials. Plus, she’s a Law of Attraction coach for writers.

Simon: Hi, Suzanne. Could you begin by telling us what inspired you to create Write by the Sea® and what a Law of Attraction coach for writers means?

Suzanne: Thanks, Simon! I’d be glad to.

I’d been a writing coach for years when I started noticing that most of the writers I worked with struggled to reach their goals because of limiting beliefs. Write by the Sea® came from my desire to blend practical writing guidance with mindset techniques I’d seen transform creative work.

As a Law of Attraction coach for writers, I guide people to move beyond those limiting beliefs and creative blocks to become the writers they’ve always wanted to be.

Simon: What types of resources can writers expect to find when they visit Write by the Sea®?

Suzanne: The site is packed with tools and support for writers. There are regular blog posts about the craft of writing—things like dialogue, story structure, and overcoming writer’s block—plus creative prompts to jumpstart your flow.

The Write by the Sea Writers Academy features workbooks, planners, and self-paced e-courses covering everything from book marketing and social media to time management and a step-by-step Writer’s Guide to ChatGPT.

I also offer one-on-one coaching packages, as well as weekly group coaching every Monday morning via Zoom through Monday Morning Manifestors.

Writers can get a free subscription to The Morning Nudge—a short weekday morning email that includes writing tips and access to exclusive tools.

The site also offers several private Facebook groups for writers, a free book club on Zoom, and a monthly subscription magazine, Manifesting Monthly, which is full of Law of Attraction tips and writing advice.

Simon: Many writing sites offer prompts and coaching, but your blend includes mindset work. How does that show up in your programs?

Suzanne: I try to weave mindset into everything since I think it is the basis of success. Blog posts often combine craft tips with manifestation principles—like “7 Simple Ways to Calm Your Busy Writer’s Mind and Get Back to Your Flow.”
Courses and coaching sessions often include affirmations, visualizations, intentional planning, and guidance to create a receptive mindset for creativity and success.

Simon: Who benefits most from Write by the Sea®?

Suzanne: Writers at any stage of their journey, whether they write fiction, nonfiction, freelance, or memoir. If you’re a writer who wants to improve your craft, grow your career, or simply write more consistently, there’s something here for you.

Many writers are juggling their writing with busy lives. They’re looking for structure, accountability, and a supportive mindset—and that’s exactly what Write by the Sea® offers.

Simon: What new writing resources are on the horizon at Write by the Sea®?

Suzanne: In July, I’ll be leading a group through a 4-week challenge to write a complete novel in a month—and learn how to do it consistently, month after month. More information about this is available here, and I invite anyone who wants to write a novel to join us for this fun, productive challenge.

Simon: In a nutshell, why should writers visit Write by the Sea®?

Suzanne: It’s a complete writing resource center—mindset, craft, tools, and community all in one place. Whether you need writing prompts or a full coaching path, you’ll find high-value resources designed to turn inspiration into action and goals into reality.

Simon: Fantastic! Thanks for the insights. For writers ready to boost their craft and mindset, check out writebythesea.com—and be sure to subscribe to The Morning Nudge. You’ll leave armed with tools, support, and the inspiration to become the writer you’ve always wanted to be.

Suzanne: Thank you, Simon!
